Ed Sheeran surprises young musicians at a recital in Boston
Ed Sheeran surprised a group of young musicians at their recital in Boston on Saturday. The singer-songwriter, who was in town for his Mathematics Tour, stopped by the Tobin Community Center to perform alongside the students from the Boston Music Project Youth Group.
Sheeran joined the group for a rendition of his song “Eyes Closed,” and he also played a few acoustic songs of his own. The students were clearly thrilled to have Sheeran join them, and they gave him a standing ovation at the end of the performance.
“It was so much fun playing with these kids,” Sheeran said after the recital. “They’re so talented, and it’s great to see them so passionate about music.”
The Boston Music Project is a nonprofit organization that provides music education to underserved youth in Boston. The group’s mission is to “empower young people through music and arts education.”
Sheeran’s surprise performance was a much-needed boost for the students of the Boston Music Project. It showed them that their hard work is paying off, and it inspired them to continue pursuing their dreams.
“This was an amazing experience,” said one of the students. “I’ll never forget it.”
Sheeran’s surprise performance is a reminder that even the biggest stars can be humble and kind. It’s also a reminder that music has the power to bring people together, regardless of age or background
