Adele calls on fans to ‘stop throwing’ objects at performers

KISS | July 5, 2023

Adele has spoken out against fans who have been throwing objects at performers on stage. The singer, who is currently on her Las Vegas residency, addressed the issue during a recent concert.

“Have you noticed how people are like forgetting f—ing show etiquette in America, they’re just throwing s— on stage,” she said. “Have you seen that?”

Adele then challenged the audience: “F—ing dare you,” she said. “Dare you to throw something at me.”

The singer’s comments come after several other performers have been hit by objects thrown by fans. In May, Bebe Rexha was hit in the face with a bracelet during a concert in Florida. And in June, Kelsea Ballerini was hit in the head with a phone during a show in Tennessee.

Adele’s comments have been praised by other performers, who have called on fans to stop throwing objects at them. “It’s not funny, it’s not cool, it’s not cute,” said singer Charlie Puth. “It’s dangerous and it needs to stop.”

Adele’s fans have responded to her comments by vowing to behave better at her future concerts. “I’m so sorry that people have been throwing things at you,” wrote one fan on Twitter. “I promise to be better.”

Adele’s comments are a reminder that it is important to show respect to performers, both on stage and off. Throwing objects at them is not only dangerous, but it can also be very upsetting. If you’re at a concert, please be respectful of the artists and enjoy the show.
