Harry Styles invited three Ukrainian refugees to Poland show
Harry Styles invited three Ukrainian refugees to his Love On Tour concert in Warsaw on Sunday night. The singer, 29, has been traveling the globe as part of his hotly-anticipated 2023 tour, which will come to a close in Italy later this month.
The three refugees – Maryna, her 13-year-old daughter Daria, and her friend Daria Kathina – were forced to flee their homes in Ukraine in 2022 and are now living in Sosnowiec, Poland. They were invited to the concert by the International Rescue Committee (IRC), a non-profit organization that is providing humanitarian assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
Maryna said that she was “so grateful” to Harry Styles and the IRC for giving her and her daughters the opportunity to attend the concert. “It was a chance to forget our worries for a night, and sing and dance at the concert,” she said.
The concert was a welcome distraction for the three refugees, who have been through a lot in recent months. They were all visibly moved by the experience, and they said that they were grateful to Harry Styles for making it possible.
“It was an amazing night,” said Daria. “We will never forget it.”
Harry Styles’ gesture is a reminder that even small acts of kindness can make a big difference in the lives of those who have been displaced by war. It is also a reminder of the importance of supporting organizations like the IRC, which are providing vital assistance to Ukrainian refugees.
