Mark Ronson says he’s heard Dua Lipa’s new album and that it’s “incredible”
Mark Ronson has given fans a tantalizing glimpse of Dua Lipa’s upcoming album, saying that he’s heard some of it and it’s “incredible.”
The Grammy-winning producer worked with Lipa on her 2020 album, “Future Nostalgia,” which was a critical and commercial success. In an interview with Vulture, Ronson said that he’s heard some of Lipa’s new music and that it’s “a triumphant stomp on that era of her music into whatever she does next.”
Ronson didn’t reveal any specific details about the album, but he did say that it’s “a totally different sound” from “Future Nostalgia.” He also hinted that the album might be a bit more experimental than Lipa’s previous work.
“I think that’s why there’s the disco ball that smashes in the video (‘Dance the Night’), right?” Ronson said. “This feels like her triumphant stomp on that era of her music into whatever she does next.”
Lipa’s new album is still under wraps, but Ronson’s comments have only served to whet fans’ appetites. The album is expected to be released later this year.
In the meantime, fans can catch Lipa on her upcoming tour, which kicks off in September.
