MrBeast is being Counter-Sued for $100 Million Dollars
YouTube star Jimmy Donaldson, better known as MrBeast, is being counter-sued for $100 million by Virtual Dining Concepts (VDC), the company that ran his MrBeast Burger ghost kitchen chain.
VDC filed the countersuit on August 7, 2023, in New York Supreme Court. The company alleges that MrBeast breached his contract with VDC by making disparaging statements about the MrBeast Burger brand and by refusing to promote the brand. VDC also alleges that MrBeast interfered with its business by trying to poach its employees.
MrBeast filed a lawsuit against VDC in June 2023, alleging that the company had failed to provide him with the promised quality of food and service. He also alleged that VDC had misappropriated his intellectual property.
The countersuit by VDC is the latest development in a legal battle between MrBeast and VDC. It remains to be seen how the case will be resolved.
Here are some of the key allegations in VDC’s countersuit:
- MrBeast made disparaging statements about the MrBeast Burger brand, including calling it “disgusting” and “inedible.”
- MrBeast refused to promote the MrBeast Burger brand, even though he was contractually obligated to do so.
- MrBeast interfered with VDC’s business by trying to poach its employees.
VDC is seeking $100 million in damages from MrBeast, as well as an injunction preventing him from making further disparaging statements about the MrBeast Burger brand.
MrBeast has not yet responded to the countersuit. It remains to be seen how the case will be resolved.
