Terri Irwin shares touching tribute to late husband Steve on the 17th anniversary of his death
Terri Irwin, the widow of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin, has shared a touching tribute to her husband on the 17th anniversary of his death.
Irwin took to Instagram to post a photo of herself and Steve, along with a heartfelt message.
“Today we remember Steve Irwin, the Crocodile Hunter,” she wrote. “A wildlife warrior, a loving husband and father, and my best friend. I miss him every day, but I know he’s always with us in spirit.”
Irwin also spoke about how Steve’s legacy continues to inspire people around the world.
“Steve’s passion for wildlife conservation has touched the lives of millions of people,” she said. “He showed us the importance of protecting our planet and its creatures, and his work will continue to make a difference for generations to come.”
Irwin concluded her post by thanking her fans for their support.
“Thank you for all your love and support over the years,” she said. “Steve would be so proud of what we’ve accomplished together.”
Steve Irwin died on September 4, 2006, after being stung by a stingray while filming a documentary. He was 44 years old.
Since his death, Terri Irwin has continued to run Australia Zoo, the wildlife park that Steve founded. She has also written several books about her life with Steve and their work in conservation.
Irwin’s children, Bindi and Robert, have also followed in their parents’ footsteps, becoming passionate advocates for wildlife conservation.
