SZA Just Won a Songwriter Award (and Here's Why It's a Big Deal)
Heads up, music lovers! SZA just scored a major win. The Songwriters Hall of Fame announced she's
getting the "Hal David Starlight Award" at their big awards show this June.
This award isn't just any trophy. It honors up-and-coming songwriters who are, well, amazing at what
they do, and SZA totally fits the bill. Her unique sound and lyrics have everyone talking, and this
award is basically saying, "Yep, she's a superstar in the making."
The ceremony is happening on June 13th in NYC, and SZA will be joining some pretty awesome past
winners – think Taylor Swift, Drake, and Alicia Keys!
This award is a victory lap after her crazy successful album "SOS" that topped the charts and grabbed
a bunch of Grammys. Basically, SZA is unstoppable, and this award is just the fuel to keep her fire
