Jack Black is Officially Minecraft Steve: You Heard That Right!

KISS | April 18, 2024

Dude, get ready to mine some laughs! Jack Black just basically confirmed he’s playing Steve
in the upcoming Minecraft movie.
We already knew the movie was coming, with Jason Momoa and all, but the mystery of who
would play the iconic blocky dude, Steve, was bugging everyone. Well, fret no more,
because Black posted a hilarious video on Insta that pretty much spells it out in giant pickaxe
letters.
In the vid, Black starts with a double rainbow shoutout (remember that epic meme?), then
waltzes into his trailer. Here’s the kicker: there’s a giant “Steve” sign on the door, and the
place is decked out with Steve pics. Need any more proof? Black finishes the video with a
sly grin that screams “Yep, I’m your Minecraft Steve!”
This isn’t Black’s first rodeo in the video game movie world. He already rocked the role of
Bowser in the new Mario flick, and he’s got another gaming movie coming up with
Borderlands. So, yeah, the dude knows his pixels!
The Minecraft movie is set to hit theaters in 2025, and while the plot is still a bit hush-hush,
you can bet there will be epic adventures, blocky brawls, and hopefully, a ton of laughs with
Black at the helm.
