Tim Burton Returns to Direct Wednesday Season 2, Expanding the Addams Family Universe
Tim Burton will direct half of the episodes for the second season of Netflix’s hit series Wednesday. The first season’s success was largely due to Jenna Ortega’s portrayal of Wednesday Addams. Despite initial delays from strikes, Burton will return, and Season 2 will introduce new storylines and characters.
The season will feature 12 new cast members, including Steve Buscemi, Billie Piper, and Evie Templeton, while Catherine Zeta-Jones, Luis Guzmán, and Isaac Ordonez have been promoted to series regulars. Filming is underway with the premiere episode titled “Here We Woe Again.” In addition to Burton, Paco Cabezas and Angela Robinson will also direct this season.
Season 2 will delve deeper into the Addams Family lore, with Burton bringing his signature gothic style. The release date remains unannounced due to production delays.
