Roger Federer joins Coldplay on stage in Zurich
Tennis legend Roger Federer joined Coldplay on stage during their concert at Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich on Sunday night. The Swiss former professional tennis player played the shaker as the band performed “Don’t Panic”, the opening song from their 2000 debut album “Parachutes”.
Federer’s appearance was a surprise to the crowd, who cheered and sang along as he played along with the band. After the performance, Federer said that it was “an honor” to be invited to join Coldplay on stage.
“I’ve been a fan of Coldplay for a long time, and it was an amazing experience to be able to play with them,” Federer said. “I hope I didn’t mess up too badly!”
Coldplay’s frontman Chris Martin said that Federer was “a natural” on stage. “He’s got a great sense of rhythm,” Martin said. “I think he could have a career in music if he wanted to.”
Federer’s appearance on stage with Coldplay is the latest in a series of high-profile appearances for the tennis star. In recent months, Federer has also appeared in commercials for Mercedes-Benz and Rolex.
