Quavo handcuffed during yacht incident in Miami

KISS | July 26, 2023

Migos rapper Quavo was handcuffed by police officers during an incident onboard a yacht in Miami on Sunday night.

According to TMZ, Quavo was on the yacht with a group of people when two men allegedly became aggressive with the yacht’s captain. The two men reportedly became upset when they were told their rental time was coming to an end and demanded a refund.

The captain called 911, and when police arrived, they found two firearms on the yacht. However, the guns were not used in any alleged threats, and no one was arrested.

Quavo was handcuffed and detained by police, but he was later released without being charged.

In a statement to TMZ, Quavo’s lawyer, Drew Findling, said that Quavo was “not involved in any criminal activity” and that he was “simply a witness to the events that unfolded.”

Findling also said that Quavo was “cooperative with the police” and that he “fully cooperated with their investigation.”

The Miami Beach Police Department is still investigating the incident.

This is not the first time that Quavo has been involved in a police incident. In 2018, he was arrested for disorderly conduct after an altercation with a security guard at a Miami nightclub. He was also arrested in 2017 for possession of marijuana.

It remains to be seen what the outcome of the investigation into the yacht incident will be. However, it is clear that Quavo has had a history of run-ins with the law.
