Wade & Wolvie: BFFs or Frenemies? ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ Trailer Slays!

KISS | April 24, 2024

Buckle up, buttercups, because the Merc with a Mouth and the grumpy Aussie with claws
are back together – and this time, it’s official MCU mayhem! The highly anticipated trailer for
Deadpool & Wolverine just dropped, and let’s just say it’s everything we hoped for and more.

Remember all that teasing from Ryan Reynolds? Yeah, well, he finally delivered. We get a
good look at the dynamic duo (or should we say dysfunctional duo?) – Reynolds back as
the ever-so-chatty Deadpool, and Hugh Jackman returning to his iconic Wolverine role
(praise the comic book gods!).
Here’s the lowdown: The trailer opens with Deadpool fanboying all over Wolverine, which is
pretty much how most of us feel about the adamantium-clawed mutant. But things quickly
take a turn for the chaotic (shocker, right?). There’s banter, there’s brawling, and of course,
there’s Deadpool breaking the fourth wall like it’s made of chimichangas.
We don’t get the full plot revealed (gotta keep some surprises for the movie, duh), but it
looks like Deadpool might be dragging Wolverine into some world-saving mess. Will they
become the ultimate superhero odd couple? Or will their clash of personalities lead to more
bickering than battling bad guys? Only time (and the movie, obviously) will tell.
One thing’s for sure, the chemistry between Reynolds and Jackman is electric. They play off
each other perfectly, with Deadpool’s nonstop jokes bouncing off Wolverine’s gruff
seriousness. It’s like watching a hilarious buddy cop movie…with swords and laser beams.
This trailer is pure gold for Marvel fans. It’s got action, humour, a healthy dose of violence (it
is Deadpool, after all), and enough pop culture references to make your head spin. It’s
everything we’ve been waiting for since those first rumours of a Deadpool and Wolverine
team-up started swirling.
So, mark your calendars, folks, because Deadpool & Wolverine is clawing its way into
theatres this July. Get ready for a wild ride, and who knows, maybe Deadpool will even
convince Wolverine to crack a smile (or two).
